Presidential candidate on upcoming poll

Presidential candidate Paruyr Hayrikyan believes his victory in the presidential election depends on the chastity in Armenia.

 

“I am not speaking about victory. Who am I going to win, those whom I want to be useful? I am not winning them but I help them to become the bearers of my ideology,” leader of National Self-Determination Union said speaking to Tert.am.

 

In his opinion, the freedom of speech during the past parliamentary election showed that he can make people understand that they can give the person, who brought forth important ideas of self-determination, an opportunity to make this self-determination an acting principle.

 

“Our history showed that my victory was the victory of all, my success was the success of all. For all sensible people it is obvious that they have a national-political figure who even in impossible conditions managed to bring important ideas to the Armenian people and make them their property,” he said, noting that it is obvious for all that as far as he did not have administrative resources not all his ideas were efficiently implemented.

 

Hayrikyan said the time has come to take the chance and give the person devoted to his ideas an opportunity to continue his work and return the state to the people through reforms.

 

Asked whether the conduction of presidential election is senseless or not, Hayrikyan said if some people think so, it is the result of well organized propaganda. “Can you tell me a national idea relating to Serzh Sargsyan? No, you can’t, but you can mention a number of them relating to Hayrikyan,” he claimed.

 

He said in conditions of today’s freedom of speech he can easily make people aware of his ideas.
