Artsakh’s inclusion in peace talks key topic discussed at Vienna summit, Pashinyan says on Facebook

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Monday shared his impressions of his first official meeting with President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan, highlighting the importance of a new logic and cultural approach in the bilateral dialogue.
In an address livestreamed via Facebook, Pashinyan ruled out any winners or losers in the process, adding that their key focus should be shifted instead on the logic behind the entire process.
He said that the inclusion of Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) in the peace talks was the key topic discussed with the Azerbaijani leader in Vienna. The prime minister emphasized that the message doesn’t imply any change in the negotiation format or an expression of whim. “It is aimed solely at making the negotiation process effective,” he said.
Pashinyan also stressed the importance of being maximum correct and keeping close to the proposed logic. “This is why [every] meeting is followed a joint statement, particularly by the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group and the two countries’ foreign ministers. That statement, by and large, underlines the logic behind the dialogue and the points the sides have managed to agree upon as a text,” he added.
