Aznavour takes up the post of Armenia's Ambassador to Switzerland

Famous French chanson performer of Armenian origin Charles Aznavour announced that he was ready to take up the post of Ambassador of Armenia to Switzerland, Armenian Public Television says.

Charles Aznavour said that he considered this proposal an honour.

This statement is rather surprising as several days ago Aznavour said in the interview with Spanish El Pais that he would not agree on taking up such a post noting that in case of disagreements with official Yerevan "his freedom can be limited".
