German Chancellor Merkel Expected to Visit Turkey

Germany’s Chancellor Angela Merkel is expected to pay a visit to Turkey at the end of this month, said Merkel herself at press conference in Germany, reports CNN Turk.

During her two-day visit from March 29–30 she is to hold meetings with representatives from Turkey’s political elite on issues such as Turkey’s regional role, the issue with Iran, as well as issues relating to Iraq, Afghanistan and the Middle East.

The last time Angela Merkel visited Turkey was in 2006.
