Are Parliamentarians Prepared to Fight on the Battlefield?

Republican Party of Armenia MP Artak Zakaryan, responding to journalists’ questions at a press conference today, affirmed that in case of a possible Armenia-Azerbaijan war, he will be one of the first individuals to go to the battlefield.

Independent MP Koryun Nahapetyan, however, isn’t rushing to leave for the battlefield. Nahapetyan, responding to the question, turned his attention to Armenian-Turkish relations; however, upon journalists’ insistence that he respond to the question, he said: “The answer is very clear and simple: unequivocally, I will go. However, today we don’t see a threat of war recommencing.”
