Yerevan State Puppet Theatre to Participate in Russia’s Golden Mask Festival

The 16th edition of the Golden Mask Festival, an annual, national festival of performing arts in Russia, will be held from March 27 till April 15, 2010.

Supplementing the main program is a new project launched by the festival organizers last year called Maska Plus: an international non-competition program that aims to present a number of Russian productions as well as selected shows from the CIS and other countries around the world.

The theatrical production “The Fairytale Torn From the Clouds” by Yerevan State Puppet Theatre named after Hovhannes Toumanyan will be presented during this year’s Maska Plus, along with other productions from Belarus, Latvia, Ukraine, and the Russian cities of Samara, Saratov, and St. Petersburg.
