Armenian-Turkish Border Opening will Deprive Georgia of Leading Role in Region: Torosyan

The opening of the Armenian-Turkish border will most definitely affect tariffs; Georgia will be deprived of its leading role in the region, said President of Javakhq Patriotic Union, MP Shirak Torosyan today.

“If the Armenian-Turkish border opens, Armenia will have another route to connect with the world,” he said, stressing that, in this case, Armenia will gain economically and tariffs for transporting goods will drop.

Earlier, Georgia’s Prime Minister, while on a visit to Yerevan, had said that the opening of the Armenian-Turkish border will have not effect on transport tariffs.
