Hillary Clinton in Moscow Today

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, accompanied by US Special Envoy to the Middle East George Mitchell, is in Moscow today for a two-day visit.

Clinton will be participating in a meeting of the Quartet with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, and European Union High Representative Catherine Ashton, as well as Quartet Representative Tony Blair, to discuss efforts to promote Middle East peace, according to the US Department of State official website.

Furthermore, the parties will discuss policy and diplomacy on the Iran nuclear issue and the strengthening of Russo-American cooperation in Afghanistan.
