Nalbandian and Lavrov Discussed Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict Resolution Process

RA Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandian, while in Moscow on March 25 for a business visit, met with his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov. According to a release issued by the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs press and information department, a number of bilateral, regional and international issues were discussed.

The two foreign ministers discussed at great length the process of resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict based on the Madrid Principles. Both agreed that there is no alternative than a peaceful resolution to the conflict.

While in Moscow, Nalbandian also paid a visit to the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia, where he consulted with the embassy’s employees, in which they discussed immediate issues related to Armenia’s foreign policy and made corresponding recommendations toward deepening and strengthening allied relations with Russia.
