Turkish PM Not Yet Confirmed Attendance at Washington Summit: Spokesperson

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has not yet decided whether he will go to Washington or not, said Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Cemil Çiçek, according to Turkish daily Zaman.

“Talks are ongoing on that issue. At this time, nothing is clear,” he said.

Yesterday, a number of media reported that the Turkish PM had in fact decided to attend the Nuclear Security Summit taking place in Washington from April 12–13. It had also been reported that Erdogan would be accompanied by Turkish ambassador Namik Tan.
