A Petition to Stop Armenian Genocide Memorial in The Hague

Members of the Turkish and Azerbaijani community have begun a petition to stop the dedication of an Armenian Genocide Memorial in the Dutch city of The Hague (Den Haag).

According to Turkish news agency Cihan, the petition was initiated by the Netherlands Azerbaijan Turkish Cultural Association.

“On April 20, Armenian organizations are preparing to hold a huge anti-Turk rally in the The Hague. They are also planning on erecting an Armenian Genocide Memorial in that city. That will have a negative effect on our nation,” said association president İlhan Aşkın, adding that the petition to stop the erection of the genocide memorial will also circulate to other Dutch cities.
