Journalist Gayane Babayan Died in a Car Accident Yesterday

At about 9:50 pm on April 5, Gayane Babayan, an Armenian journalist working for local Armenian daily Hraparak (“A Square,” “Public Place”), was involved in a car accident that took place on Davit Anhaght Street in Yerevan.

The driver is said to have attempted to rescue Babayan by immediately taking her to the hospital, but unfortunately, she passed away on route.
