Ratification of Armenia-Turkey Protocols Suspended by Presidential Decree

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan signed a decree today which suspends the ratification of the long-disputed documents signed on October 10, 2009 in Zurich - "Protocol on Establishing Diplomatic Relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Turkey and "Protocol on Opening the Border between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Turkey.

President Sargsyan has also instructed Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan to notify the Republic of Turkish about it.
