Milano's Proprietor May Stand Trial

The alienation procedure over Milano shop on Abovyan 14 launched on March 19, 2010, was well-planned by different state bodies, according to a statement released by the proprietor of Milano, Olimp Production Cooperation.

It also says that different state bodies - judicial, customs, tax - were involved to carry out various unlawful actions.

Further the statement mentioned that Judicial Acts Compulsory Service has confiscated goods belonging to Milano worth about 47m AMD, instead of 17m AMD defined by a counter-claim filed by the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia over "trumped up charges."

Also a case action has been brought against Deputy Director of Olimp Production Cooperative Hovhannes Ghukasyan on "tax evasion and usage of fake invoces for clearance" charges.

Earlier Ghukasyan had addressed an open letter to the Armenian media sources aiming to draw attention on his case.

"It is already a month since Olimp Production Cooperative has been fighting to restore its violated rights. During this period we have faced such problems that seem unsolvable due to both the indifference of state bodies and completely corrupted judicial system," read the letter.
