Placido Domingo Will Have a Concert in Georgia

Spanish tenor and conductor Placido Domingo will arrive on May 16 in Georgia upon the Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili to have a concert in the Georgian resort town of Batumi, reports Georgian news source Gruzia Online.

Saakashvili and Doming met in December 2009 in Milan during the opening of concert season in La Scala opera house.

Some Georgian soloist are also expected to sing with Domingo, though it is not yet clear who they will be.

Interestingly, from this year on Domingo has decided to perform also in baritone.
