Argentinean Armenian Community Celebrated May 9

The Armenian Embassy in Argentina organized festivities dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War and the 18th anniversary of the liberation of the Armenian town of Shushi in the Nagorno Karabakh. The festivities were held in the capital of Argentina, Buenos Ayres.

Part of the festivities Gisak archbishop Muradyan, leader of Argentina diocese of Armenian Apostolic church offered a liturgy in the Buenos Ayres St. Grigor Lusavorich cathedral.

Further a ceremony took place in the yard of the cathedral near the monument dedicated to the memory of the Artsakh heroes. Flowers and wreaths were placed to their monuments on behalf of the Armenian Embassy in Buenos Ayres and other community institutions.
During this ceremony the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Armenia to Argentine Republic Vladimir Karmirshalyan addressed to those attending the festivities.
