Elmar Mammadyarov Speaks again about Renewed Madrid Principles

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov does not consider it positive that Armenia has not yet expressed its position about the renewed Madrid Principles aimed at the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh issue, reports Azerbaijani news website 1news.am.

"That document is the result of the work the [OSCE] Minsk Group carried out with the parties," said Mammadyarov.

In his words Azerbaijan has accepted that document and is ready to continue the work that will lead to a lasting peace agreement based on the renewed Madrid Principles.

Further Azerbaijani FM mentioned that the results of the recent meeting between his Armenian counterpart Edward Nalbandyan and the mediators in Brussels will probably be made public during the next meeting of the OSCE MG co-chairpersons to be held on June 5 in Venice.
