Detainee Attempts a Fatal Flee by Jumping from 2nd Floor of Court

An Armenian national arrested on charges of Section 2 of Article 268 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia tried to escape from the Court of First Instance of Kentron (Centre) and Nork-Marah administrative districts.

At 6 pm on May 17 Gagik Ghazaryan, born in 1961, jumped from the second floor of the courtroom and attempted to run away, but failed to do so due to serious injuries. Further he was taken to Surb Grigor Lusavorich clinic and passed away at 00:20 am on May 18 still unconscious.

An investigation is underway.
