Smbat Margaryan Wins Gold in Valencia

Armenian weightlifter Smbat Margaryan (56 kg) became champion in the European Youth Weightlifting Championship in Valencia by lifting a total of 240 kg, reports local news website Armsport.am.

Margaryan lifted 105 kg in snatch exercise and won the first place. In jerk he lifted 135 kg as first attempts but in the following two ones Margaryan failed lifting 149 kg, though 135kg was quite enough to win the gold medal.
