Free Homeland Party Wins 45.8% Votes in Karabakh Parliamentary Elections

The preliminary results of the parliamentary elections in the Artsakh Republic are already known with Free Homeland Party, headed by the Prime Minister Ara Harutyunyan, having most of the votes - 45.8%.

The Democratic Party of Artsakh has received 30.7% of the votes followed by the Armenian Revolutionary Federation - 18.2%.

Artsakh Communist Party received only 5.34% of the votes which means it has not cleared the 6% minimal threshold to enter the parliament.

Of all the 66,000 ballots about 40,000 have been counted at this moment.

These parliamentary elections saw a quite high turn-out (70%) which was more active in the regions rather than in the capital city of Stepanakert.

The voting has been monitored by 110 observers from Armenia, Russia, France, Germany, US and some other countries.

Inaccuracies have this time too been unavoidable. Most of the citizens could not find their names in the lists with the names of the dead citezens frequently met instead.
