Armenian Weightlifters Winning Two Medals in Valencia

The European Youth Weightlifting Championship in Valencia ended with Armenian athletes (+94kg) Misha Muradyan and Gor Minasyan showing good performance, reports local Armenian sports news website Armsport.am.

With a total of 340kg in both the jerk and snatch combinations Minasyan won the silver medal yielding to the Lasha Talakhadze (345) from Georgia.

Misha Muradyan lifted 321kg and won the bronze medal.

Another Armenian athlete, Hamlet Poghosyan, lifted 320kg in the 94kg category and won the 5th place.

In total, the Armenian weightlifters' team won 2 gold medals, 2 silver and one bronze in Valencia.
