Parliamentary Elections in Karabakh Exemplary for Azerbaijan։ Sharmazanov

The Artsakh Republic held open, transparent and democratic parliamentary elections this weekend, and proved with it that the Karabakhi people demonstrated that it is committed to the democratic traditions, and that there is no alternative to the democratic values, a group of Armenian MPs who oversaw the NKR parliamentary elections at a press conference today said.

Among them were Eduard Sharmazanov, Aram Safaryan, Artak Zakaryan, Karine Achemyan and Artsruni Aghajanyan.

"We have met the representative of almost all of the organization that who monitored the elections. Almost all of them said that these elections are exemplary for the region and first of all for Azerbaijan," said Sharmazanov.

According to them the elections demonstrated that the Artsakhi people are unified.

"Regardless to whom they were giving their vote they were saying 'yes' to their independence. This showed that the independence of Artsakh has no alternative. The Artsakh went to vote not to please the Europe and US but rather to prove that it is independent."
