Hurriyet Publication on Karabakh Disgruntles Baku

A recent publication in the Turkish Daily News & Economic Review about the parliamentary elections in Nagorno Karabakh in which the NKR is referred to as "disputable territory" has disgruntled Azerbaijan.

Elnur Aslanov, Head of the Political Analyses and Information Department of the presidential administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan, has sent a letter to the newspaper demanding clarifications on the May 23 publication.

The letter says that the NK is presented as a "disputable" territory in the above-mentioned publication which, according to Baku, "is a violation of the international principal of territorial integrity."

Azerbaijani news website 1news.az, referring to the NKR parliamentary elections, writes that "Azerbaijan will never accept, and even more, will never be cheated by political insinuations made under parliamentary elections."
