Eurovision Disgruntles Azerbaijani Public over Map

The second semi-final of Eurovision 2010 Song Contest held on May 27 has kicked up discontent among Azerbaijani who complain that they noticed Nagorno Karabakh and its adjacent territories, currently under the control of Armenian troops, were not included in Azerbaijan’s map.

Better for worse, the Azerbaijani saw another step by the Eurovision administration as done on purpose. The point is that the national flags of other states appeared on the big screen for a few of seconds, while Azerbaijani flag, as they say, disappeared sooner-than-expected.

According to some Azerbaijani media sources Baku is currently taking steps so that to “correct the mistake” of the Eurovision administration before the final.
