Clinton and Davutoglu to Discuss Karabakh Issue: Zaman

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu is set on June 1 to leave for US where he is expected to meet his US counterpart Hilary Clinton.

According to local Turkish newspaper Zaman the Iranian nuclear issue will be on the high agenda.

The parties are also expected to discuss the Nagorno Karabakh issue.

Currently Davutoglu is in Latin America on an official visit together with the Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Local Turkish Milliyet writes that the aim of the Davutoglu-Clinton meeting is to surmount the crisis in Washington-Ankara relations caused after the signing of the Iranian nuclear swap deal mediated by Brazil and Turkey that would see the Iranian low-grade uranium sent Turkey to be enriched and to be returned as high-grade uranium.
