Scientists, who have been studying The Great Wall of China in an effort to discover how it has lasted so long without crumbling, now release their latest finding.....bricks are held together by sticky rice.

Apparently, sticky rice was fed to workers who were building The Great Wall and it is believed they got tired of eating it so began stuffing it in-between the bricks so as not to anger their 'employers' by leaving it in bowls. Workers smuggled in extra foodstuffs to share amongst them, reports the Spoof.com.

After the release of this report, rice began flying off shelves in supermarkets all over China as the Chinese realized the benefits of using it between bricks and stones on their patios. It keeps down the weeds.

The Italians are reportedly working with pasta to see if they can come up with a similar type of mortar. This will, if successful, revolutionize the building industry.

Irish scientists are working with potatoes, Scottish scientists are working with Haggis. It's reported that in Yorkshire, England, some scientists are working with Yorkshire Puddings.

Science is indeed a science in and of itself.
