Armenia Celebrating Children's Day

Օn the occasion of Children's Day Yerevan's City Hall will organize today celebrations in various administrative districts of the capital.

The main festivities will take place in the Children's Park near the City Hall. The children will from 2 pm be welcomed in the park by many of the famous and much-loved cartoon and fairy tale heroes who will talk to them, tell them fairy tales, give them sweets and do everything to have them enjoy the day, according to a release issued by the City Hall.

A celebration concert will start at 3 pm attended by children's choirs and ensembles, students of arts and music schools. Some Armenian singers will also congratulate the children with their performances.

The celebration in Children's Parks will end with a day-time firework.

The day will be marked also by other celebrations. Namely, the Museum of History will hold a puppet exhibit that will included about 200 puppets representing various periods.

Festivities are also expected in Moscow Grove, Youth Park in Malatia-Sebastia administrative district and in many other parts of Yerevan.
