FIDE 's Decision Unfavorable for Aronyan

The World Chess Championship will take place in the Azerbaijani capital of Baku, FIDE has decided.
It will take place from May 1-31, 2011.

Among the contenders is also the Armenian chess player Levon Aronyan who had earlier said in public he would not participate in this championship should it be held in Azerbaijan.

According to local Armenian sports news website Armsport.am among other 8 contenders are Magnus Karlsen (Norway), Vladimir Kramnik (Russia), Veselin Topalov (Bulgaria )m Boris Gelfand (Israel), Gata Kamsky (US) and Temur Rajabov (Azerbaijan).
The name of another player will still have to be decided by the organizers of this championship.
