US Defense Minister Gates to Visit Azerbaijan: Bloomberg

US Defense Minister Robert Gates will during his Asia tour visit also Azerbaijan. On the agenda will be issues relating to the routes US is using to carry freight to Afghanistan, reports Bloomberg.

Gates is expected to head for London from Baku and then to Brussels where he will participate in a meeting of defense ministers of NATO states.

Currently he is in China to discuss ways of easing the tension between North Korea and South Korea sparked by a recent row over torpedoing a South Korean ship allegedly by North Koreans.
