Hundreds of Azerbaijani Women Kept as Prisoners in Armenia? Just Try to Imagine!

Azerbaijan has again accused Armenia of something it has not done.

Particularly, the Azerbaijani representative, while speaking about gender issues during 35th Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation held recently in Belgrade, Serbia, said that hundreds of Azerbaijani women are being kept as prisoners in Armenia, according to Heritage MP Vardan Khachatryan, a member of the Armenian delegation in that summit.

"What can we say about those women who are being kept as prisoners in Armenia," said the Azerbaijani official.
According to Khachatryan this is a bald-faced lie.

In his words, later the Armenian delegations asked to be given the floor and required that the Azerbaijani present to them the list of the women who, as they insist, are being kept as prisoners in Armenia.

"We decided to speak with them with a language of documentation. We required a list [of those women] and said that we would present it to the International Committee of the Red Cross. We said 'if there are such prisoners, than the Red Cross should find it out.' But there is no such information in any of the documents in ICRC," said Khachatryan.

But the Azerbaijani could not respond to Armenia's counter arguments and started to deviate from that fact, calling on the parties to find out who started the war over Karabakh which lead to a heated discussion with Armenian reminding them that the war in fact started by the massacres of Armenians in Baku.

This is not the first time the Azerbaijani representatives make such fictitious statements.

According to Vardan Khachatryan last year too when an Azerbaijani representative said that their country receives most of its drinking water from Armenia and that the Armenians poison it.
