Armenian Women Sex-Trafficked in Turkey

A large-scale police operation in the Turkish town of Samsun has revealed a gang of sex traffickers, reports local Turkish news agency Anadolu.

Thirty nine people, among them also policemen, have been arrested for having forced women to prostitution.

The investigation has found out that those arrested have forced 65 foreign citizens to sell sex.

Among the victims are also citizens of Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan and Dagestan. All are married to Turkish citizens.

The women arrested have all confessed they had come to Turkey for work, but were cheated and forced to engage in prostitution.
