US is Disappointed with Turkey over UN Security Council Voting on Iran Sanctions

US is disappointed at Turkey over its decision to vote against UN Security Council vote that will impose fresh sanctions upon Iran, said US Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs William Burns, according to Turkish TV TRT.

“We cannot hide the fact that we are disappointed with Turkey’s decision,” said Burns.

Asked whether or not will Turkey’s move affect relations between Ankara and Washington, Burns said: “We will see.”

Earlier today UN Security Council voted for a resolution that envisages fresh sanctions upon Iran.

All the 12 members of the Security Council voted in favor of the resolution.

Turkey and Brazil voted against, while Lebanon abstained.
