Voting on Opening Foreign-Language Schools Delayed Until Next Special Session

National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia discussed two disputable drafts Thursday. The parliament voted for the amendments to the “Law on TV and Radio” by a second reading.

Later a special session was convened for another pending draft, that has raised very high emotions and criticism – amendment to the “Law about Public Education” – but the voting was delayed until next special session.

The date of this session is still to be scheduled.

Activists of We are Against Opening Foreign-Language Schools initiative who had been rallying in front of the government house, left the site, at the same time assuring that they will continue their struggle against this Government-backed move.
