Was Obama Aware of Flotilla Raid? Turkish Media

US President Barack Obama was aware of the planned Israeli raid on the Flotilla of Freedom carrying humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip in advance, report Turkish media, citing an Israeli newspaper.

Citing US anonymous diplomatic sources Arutz Sheva writes that the Israeli held talks with the US president before the raid, and Obama gave consent to the Israeli plans, adding at the same time that Washington was resolutely against disproportional use of force.

Further Turkish media outlets recall that the US administration made a statement in relation to the flotilla raid, saying it had no information pertaining to the Israeli plans.
