Why Jamanak Daily Was Not Printed Today? Explains Chief Editor

A local Armenian daily was not printed today which has roused suspicions over possible interventions by authorities.

Chief Editor of Jamanak (Time) Arman Babajanyan has released a statement saying that this is not the first time that "A-Markosyan" printing house "does not intentionally meet its liabilities stipulated by the contract and does not print Jamanak daily without serious argumentation."

"Yesterday too, Jamanak was for unknown reasons not published and did not reach the readers. Since morning all our attempts to get in touch with the printing house's directorate and get explanations have been doomed to failure. It is obvious that authorities are involved and have their hand in all this. We are sure that 'A-Markosyan' printing house is following the political instructions of authorities," reads the statement.

Further it says that the daily's editorial staff promises to its readers that Jamanak will do everything to find out the why this printing house has such an irresponsible working style.
