Weather is a Good Topic To Start a Meeting: Sargsyan-Medvedev-Aliyev Meeting Started (Updated)

Minutes ago the trilateral meeting of Armenian, Russian and Azerbaijani Presidents in Saint Petersburg started almost 40 minutes later than planned.

The trilateral meeting will be followed by a working dinner.

The Armenian and Azerbajani Presidents were welcomed by Dmitry Medvedev at the Konstantinovski Palace. He asked them how their mood was. Sargsyan and Aliyev answered they were in good mood.

Further Medvedev noticed that the weather was quite warm in Petersburg. Later Medvedev said this was already the third trilateral meeting, "which is not few."

 Then the journalists left the room and the meeting continued behind closed doors.

The Armenian delegation was welcomed in St. Petersburg by Armenia’s Ambassador to Russia Oleg Yesayan.

Among Armenian delegates are Armenia’s Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan, Deputy Prime Minister Armen Gevorgyan, Economy Minister Nerses Yeritsyan, Finance Minister Tigran Davtyan, Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hacobyan and Deputy Head of Staff of the Presidential Administration Vigen Sargsyan.

The Armenian delagation headed by President Sargsyan pays a visit to St. Petersburg to participatean annual World Economic Forum to be held 11:30 am on June 18.

The forum is Titled 'World Economics: Managing Recovery.

On June 19, Sargsyan will also participate in festive events dedicated to the 300th anniversary of Armenian community in St. Petersburg. He will meet there the leadership of the Armenian community at the Armenian National Cultural Center.
