Armen Martirosyan Sees No Solution to Karabakh Conflict Yet

The recent trilateral meeting of Armenian, Azerbaijani and Russian presidents in the Russian city of Saint Petersburg was just a next-in-turn meeting, said Heritage Party Board Chairperson Armen Martirosyan.

"This was just a next-in-turn meeting, and I do not see a solution to the question," Martirosyan told Tert.am, asked to comment on the meeting of Serzh Sargsyan, Ilham Aliyev and Dmitry Medvedev.

Referring to evaluations of this visit by some political figures who said that Mr Aliyev went to St. Petersburg under international pressure and that the solutions proposed over Karabakh conflict were not beneficial for Azerbaijan, Martirosyan said emotional evaluations are unacceptable for him.

"Such emotional evaluations are not acceptable for me; the process should be considered in its entirety. At this moment talks are being held for [how to start the real] talks. I consider that, of course, as positive, it is better than the military solution of the conflict," said he, adding that no real solutions are seen yet.
