For 3 days now Armenian version of Facebook is under Turkish-Azerbaijani hacker attack

We Are Against Re-Opening of Foreign-Language Schools initiative expresses its deepest concerns over the fact that the Armenian version of the famous social networking site Facebook is for the third day now under Azerbaijani and Turkish joint hacker attack.

The attackers have used the Translations program and have instead of the necessary ones input their own words and expressions - such as LONG LIVE AZERBAIJAN, KARABAKAH IS AN AZERBAIJANI TERRITORY - have voted in favor of their versions of translation so much that they have become prevalent in comparison to the real Armenian translations and can now be seen by the Armenian users.

Currently instead of the word "news" the expression LONG LIVE AZERBAIJAN appears on the right upper part of the user profile homepage.

To save the situation until the Facebook administration will at last do something; all Armenian users should visit the following link http://www.facebook.com/translations/index.php?vtype=recent&app=1&aloc=hy_AM&vote and participate in the voting for the translations.

Here is an important tip that will be of help: if there are more than three translation versions of the same word or expression, then only the first three can be seen simultaneously. To see the Azerbaijani mis-translations you have to click on the number of the translated versions, then on the downward arrow and then vote for the best Armenian version.

Another option to put an end to this silly hacker attack would be sending numerous e-mails to the Facebook administration at warning@facebook.com e-mail address and complain about the situation.
