World's Oldest Person is Antisa Khvichava says Georgia - The nation of Georgia claims that they have the oldest person in the world living in their country, reports Newsopsi.com.

They claim that a woman Antisa Khvichava who lives in a remote mountain village is 130 years old, making her easily the oldest person living on earth. The person in question,Khvichava, was reportedly born on July 8, 1880. A statement was released by Georgiy Meurnishvili, a spokesman for the civil registry at the Justice Ministry in Georgia.

The woman who retired from her job as a corn picker at the age of 85, in 1965 currently lives with her 40 year old grandson in a vine-covered country house located in the mountains.

"I've always been healthy, and I've worked all my life - at home and on the farm," said Khvichava wearing shiny red lipstick. She spoke while sitting in a chair and holding a cane through an interpreter. She never went to school to learn how to speak Georgian, and only speaks the local language, Mingrelian.

Her age could not be verified by any third party source. She lost her birth certificate some time ago. However, she did show two Soviet-area documents that refer to how old she was at the time.

A number of individuals that know her and officials in the country have backed up her claim as the oldest person in the World. She has a son, 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and six great, great grandchildren.
