Medvedev and Merkel to discuss Karabakh conflict

The leaders of Russia and Germany, Dmitry Medvedev and Angela Merkel, are scheduled to meet in the Russian city of Yekaterinburg (Urals) on July 14-15 to discuss bilateral cooperation and the most pressing issues of global policy, reports Voice of Russia news site. 

According to the Russian presidential aide, Sergei Prikhodko, Medvedev and Merkel will focus on the construction of the Nord Stream gas pipeline, strategic cooperation between the Russian and German companies, as well as liberalization of visa regime with the EU.
Prikhodko added that the two leaders might also tough upon the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the situation in Transnistria, Kyrgyzstan and North Korean nuclear issue.

Medvedev and Merkel are also scheduled to meet a group of businessmen from both countries.
