Kazakh President backs Medvedev's efforts to solve Karabakh conflict

Kazakhstan actively supports the efforts by the Russian President Dmitry Medvedev aimed at resolving the conflict over Nagorno Karabakh, Kazakhstan's President Nursultan Nazarbayev said as he addressed at the opening ceremony of an informal meeting of OSCE foreign ministers in Almaty today, reports local Azerbaijani news agency Trend.

"Kazakhstan consistently promotes negotiation formats to settle the protracted conflicts in the OSCE's area of responsibility and special representative for the protracted conflict also actively works," Nazarbayev said.

"Today, the OSCE Minsk Group will hold a meeting on the Nagorno-Karabakh. We wish successful work to this meeting," Nazarbayev said.
