Turn to Levon Ter-Petrosyan for details, says Armenia's former PM Bagratyan

"The risk of war is always a hindrance for [attracting] investments. The perspectives of development are limited under unsolved military conditions," former Armenian Prime Minister Hrant Bagratyan told a press conference asked to comment on a statement by former Armenian President Levon Ter-Petrosyan.

Ter-Petrosyan had during the Armenian Pan-National Party's July 17 congress said that Armenia has no development perspectives unless the Nagorno Karabakh conflict is resolved and the Armenia-Turkey relations normalized.

According to Bagratyan, Ter-Petrosyan too has probably meant this.

"Go and turn to Levon Ter-Petrosyan for details," urged Bagratyan.

In his words the emigration from Armenia in '90s was rather high and mainly due to the war factor. Today too there is a social emigration taking place, as people see war threat now too.

Further Bagratyan cited state statistical data proving that some 450,000 people have left Armenia during the recent 20 years.
