Karen Karapetyan resigns as HHSh head of news service

Head of the news service of the Armenian Pan-National Movement Party (HHSh) Karen Karapetyan has submitted an application with which he resigns from that position.

Talking to Tert.am he said he resigned from that position only and will continue to remain as HHSh private member.

According to him that position should be maintained by someone who is a board member of the party.

Further Karapetyan said he used to be a board member before the 16th congress that took place on July 17, 2010. But the point is that he had not even filed his candidacy for a board membership during this recent congress as he had deemed it unnecessary.

"I will file my candidacy in HHSh's 17th congress which, according to the party charter, must take place no later than once in 2 years. That means, that the next congress may take place both in 2 years and in a month," explained Karapetyan.
