Will Ruben Vardanyan leave Troika Dialog?
The share package of the Russian investment company Troika Dialog, mainly owned by Russian-Armenian tycoon philanthropist Ruben Vardanyan, may in the coming two years have other owners, according to Russian RBC Daily newspaper.
Currently the Company is discussing a few variants of possible acquisitions the shares may be bought by Company's top managers, by Sberbank, by VTB or Standard Bank.
According to the source the shareholders of the 63,573 per cent of the Company discussed last Friday a series of versions of selling Troika Dialog's shares.
Under one of these scenarios Vardanyan will in the coming years decrease the amount of his shares: "for about 20 years he has committed himself to that business and deserves descent rest and a chance to participation in philanthropic projects."
In this case the shares will be sold to Company's top managers, while under another scenario they will be sold to a strategically large investor that will give an impetus to the business.
"Currently the list of potential buyers is open. If Vardanyan sells his shares, then it will happen no sooner than 2011-2012," one of the top managers told RBC Daily.
