Some want to discredit Zurabyan's and Kokobelyan's good reputation, says Karen Karapetyan

Some media outlets have recently launched a campaign aimed at discrediting former Board Chairman of the Armenian Pan-National Movement Party (HHSh) Ararat Zurabyan and the Deputy Board Chairman Khachatur Kokobelyan, Karen Karapetyan president of HHSh's young wing said in a release issued on Tuesday.

"Unfortunately, this notorious campaign continues also after HHSh's 16th Congress," writes Karapetyan, stressing that Zurabyan and Kokobelyan are among the most principal and straightforward political figures he and many have ever known.

"And the impression is that some people have set an aim for themselves to discredit the good reputation and the good name of Ararat Zurabyan and Khachatur Kokobelyan. It is difficult to say what drives them to such dirty steps, but I am sure that they [the steps] are bound to failure. I am calling on all media outlets not to become a toy at the hands of the people pursuing unclear aims, and at the same time I assure [you] that all those, who use lies, fabrications and intrigues in their political fight, will at the earliest future be left out of the [political] arena," reads the release.
