Do not look for traitors; power shift in HHSh took place in a civilized way: Aram Manukyan

The power shift in the Armenian Pan-National Movement Party (HHSh) took place in a civilized way, HHSh newly elected Board Chairman Aram Manukyan told a press conference today.

"There has been a normal transition; do not look for anything [strange]; do not look for traitors," said Manukyan, adding that the authorities have attempted to create problems within their party - but yet to no avail - and all that is already in the past.

Asked whether or not it was true that the new party list had been prepared by former Armenian President Levon Ter-Petrosyan,

Manukyan said it was not true, adding that the board discussions had been conducted openly and transparently.

Asked why the party report was presented by the him - something former chairman Ararat Zurabyan was expected to do - Manukyan said that it had been prepared by a few members and that it was upon Zurabyan's request that Manukyan presented it.
