Ameriabank does not rule out new acquisitions
The merging of Ameriabank and Cascade Bank has been completed earlier than planned.
In a press conference today Ameriabank's Chairman of the Management Board-General Director Artak Hanesyan said that the deal was planned to be completed at the end of November this year, but due the efforts and quick work of the Central Bank and the working group in charge of this merging it was possible to complete the deal earlier than expected.
Due to that deal Ameriabank is the third in Armenia with its assets. The bank comes the second with its capital and the fifth with is obligations in Armenia.
Hanesyan said that the bank plans improving its positions in the banking system in Armenia. Particularly it plans a 23-per-cent growth in bank portfolio, 20 per cent in obligations and 25 per cent in revenues compared to the first semester.
Artak Hanesyan at same time motioned that Ameriabank does not rule out any possible merging or acquisition of another bank. But at the moment there is no such target bank in market.
