Karabakh's security and independence has never been and cannot be speculated: Bako Sahakyan

Artsakh's defensive army succeeds in adequately responding Azerbaijani provocations and in preserving its own position and the security of its people, President of the Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan told journalists late Friday.

According to Sahakyan the continuous war rhetoric by Azerbaijan, as well as the violations of the ceasefire and the diversion attacks on Karabakhi defensive military posts are not giving any advantage to Baku.

"Azerbaijan's policy brings about destructiveness which in turn does not contribute to the settlement of the issue. We have proposed Azerbaijan to withdraw the snipers from the contact line to which Azerbaijan has given a negative answer," explained Mr Sahakyan, expressing astonishment over how Azerbaijan could have rejected such a proposal.

Further Mr Sahakyan said that Karabakh's security and independence has never been and cannot in fact be subject for speculation.
