Turkish state minister visits Armenian Patriarchate of Constantinople

Turkish State Minister and Chief Negotiator for EU Accession Talks Egemen Bagish has visited the Armenian Patriarchate of Constantinople.

According to Turkish daily Milliyet Bagish visited Armenian Patriarch Mersob Archbishop Mutafian who is currently seriously ill.

Bagish also met with Aram Ateshian and congratulated him for being elected as the Vice Patriarch.

Further the paper says that Bagish's meetings in the Armenian Patriarchate of Constantinople were held behind closed doors and lasted for about two hours.
