Artsakh president Bako Sahakyan pays working visits to Martakert and Shahoumyan

From 24 to 25 July President of Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan paid a working visit to Martakert and Shahoumyan regions, accoeding to a release issued by the Central Innformation Department of presidential administration of the Republic of Artsakh.

In Martakert Mr Sahakyan visited hydropower stations of Madaghis, Sarsang, Trghe-1 and Trghe-2, which is currently under construction, and inspected activities carried out there.

In field headquarter allocated in the vicinities of Haterk village he convened a consultation dedicated to the issues of developing energy sphere of Karabakh.

Head of the department of industrial infrastructures under the Cabinet of Ministers Karlen Petrosyan and Director-General of Artsakh-HEK Company Vahram Beglaryan delivered corresponding reports.

The President highly appreciated the energy sphere considering it among the strategic directions of the country's development and underlined the importance of staff training as the guarantor securing the progress in the field.

On the same day the President also visited the northern part of Karabagh-Azerbaijan borderline. He highly appreciated the importance of the northern part regions in protecting the country's borders and underlined that the authorities will continue to do everything possible to maintain the efficiency of the Defense Army. The Head of the State handed in valuable gifts to a number of officers and soldiers.

On 25 July Mr Bako Sahakyan visited Shahoumyan region and inspected construction carried out in the Karvachar regional center.

Bako Sahakyan noted that it is necessary to elaborate a new house building program in the Karvachar regional center, which would give a positive impetus to the development of the town. In this context the President especially underlined the necessity of maintaining high quality of the implemented activities noting that this issue would be under his immediate control.

On the same day the Head of the State visited the basin of lakes Great and Minor Al and got introduced with a number of projects implemented.

Thereupon in Tsar village Bako Sahakyan met representatives of the community, and later visited the Republican pedigree cattle station. The President noted that the development of Shahoumyan region is of strategic importance. In this context Bako Sahakyan highly appreciated the importance of developing agriculture, especially stock breeding, taking into consideration the enormous potential of the region in this sphere.
